The Vice President of Sierra Leone, Victor Foh,
has said that the Food and Nutrition Security Implementation Plan (FNSIP) will
boost nutrition and food security in the country, reports NaijaAgroNet.
NaijaAgroNet gathered that considerable efforts have been invested into the blueprint FNISP to ensure a collaborative approach to achieving the goal of food and nutrition security, as well as building a healthy nation.
According to Foh, FNSIP, which he launched on behalf
of the President, Ernest
Koroma at
Aberdeen recently, “will
serve to boost food and nutrition security issues in the National Development
Agenda, especially in the fight against ebola and other infectious diseases and
in the post-ebola recovery phase.”
He also pointed out that FNSIP will also
serve as an advocacy tool for mobilizing resources on behalf of nutrition
implementing agencies, and will broadly encourage and motivate nutrition
stakeholders to use the strategy as a working document accepted by all.”
