Lagos hosts 2027 agrifood budget forum as stakeholders push stronger food security and agricultural investment - NaijaAgroNet

Nigeria’s drive to strengthen food security, boost agricultural productivity, and diversify the economy through agrifood investments has taken centre stage as federal and state stakeholders, development partners, civil society organisations, and agricultural experts gathered in Lagos for the 2027 Agrifood System Budget Stakeholders’ Consultative Forum, reports NaijaAgroNet.

The Third Global High-Level Ministerial Conference on Antimicrobial Resistance, hosted in Muscat, Oman, concluded last weekend, where targets to address the global antimicrobial resistance (AMR) challenge were discussed for the first time. 
The conference and its numerical targets for antimicrobial use in the human and animal sectors will pave the way for bold political commitments at the forthcoming UN General Assembly High-Level Meeting on AMR in 2024.
