The League of Anambra Professionals (LAP) has unveiled its Future Forward Scholarship Programme, a new initiative designed to uplift indigent but brilliant Ndi Anambra youths through access to quality education, reports NaijaAgroNet.
The programme seeks to level the playing field for disadvantaged young people by supporting those who demonstrate academic excellence, good character, and commitment to community service.
LAP explained that the scholarship is aimed at ensuring that no student’s ambition is derailed by economic hardship, while also nurturing the next generation of leaders from Anambra State.
To qualify, applicants must show proof of indigent status, strong performance in WAEC or JAMB, and provide a testimonial of good behaviour or evidence of extracurricular involvement. Additional requirements include a confirmation of indigene status from the local traditional ruler or President General, a one-page personal statement from the student, and a supporting letter from the parent or guardian.
Applications are to be completed online via a Google form accessible through LAP’s official website. The deadline for submission has been set for October 15, 2025, with the screening process expected to end by October 30, 2025.

Speaking on the launch, the president of LAP, Sir Nnamdi Obi, reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to empowering Ndi Anambra youths with opportunities that would shape a brighter future. “We believe that no child’s dream should be cut short due to financial hardship. This scholarship is our way of investing in the future of Ndi Anambra and supporting tomorrow’s leaders,” Obi stated.
