The Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has unveiled his government’s food security plan and advocated for national unity to resolve the current nationwide economic crisis.

The Governor who recently attended President Bola Tinubu’s briefing with Governors on Thursday was at the Federal Ministry of Agriculture today during which he opened up on the extensive agenda of the state government on food security and expanded food production.

Beware! Nigerian children plan takeover on November 20

Yes, beware, the World Children’s Day (WCD) is on 20 November, and they youngsters are ready for the anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, reports NaijaAgroNet.

This follows the planned commemoration for this year, NaijaAgroNet reports that children across the world would ‘takeover’ high-profile moments in the media, politics, business, sports, music and entertainment to raise awareness on the most vulnerable and hardest to reach children. 

Children, according to UNICEF Nigeria, would raise their voices in solidarity with the world’s most disadvantaged children.

Also, children would shine a spotlight on the most pressing challenges faced by their generation, even as more than anything else on this day, “we seek your support to make this an advocacy moment for children’s right by children themselves.”

UNICEF equally outlines some children takeovers already confirmed;
1.      Children takeover prominent roles at Hilton Hotel.

2.     Presentation by a Nigerian child at the Ted talk-like Regional African Dialogue in Accra Ghana.
3.     Children’s visit to Fifth Chukker Polo and Country Club and takeover of management and games at the Club.
4.     Children takeover broadcasts at Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria
5.     Children takeover broadcasts at Kaduna State Media Corporation
6.     Children takeover broadcasts at Ebonyi State Broadcasting Service

Ghana chefs plan Happi Festival 2016

Ghanaian Chefs have concluded plans to host a weeklong African Chefs United Haapi Festival, reports NaijaAgroNet.

A press statement from the interim committee of the Chefs Association Ghana (CAC) under the auspices of Ghana Tourism Federation and Ghana Tourism Authority invite the public to the  African Chefs United HAAPI  Festival –Ghana 2016,a project that celebrates Africa’s indigenous food, exotic drinks, arts and heritage.

Hospitality All African People Imbizo is an initiative of Chef Citrum Khumalo, founder of African Chefs United and was launched in Johannesburg on 19th September, 2008.

The aim of the festival, NaijaAgroNet is to address some of the critical aspects of African heritage in the way food and beverages.

Also, NaijaAgroNet reports that nutrition and biodiversity will ensure that tourism is positioned as the best in the world.

This programme, NaijaAgroNet further reports would enhance skills development, create network and social cohesion amongst African culinary professionals as well as career guidance to young people.

“The objectives of HAAPI 2016 is to unite Africans, create the African festive atmosphere and improve interaction between African culinary specialists.


HAAPI GHANA 2016 is scheduled to take place officially from Mon. 26th-29th September, 2016.
